oases Graduate School: Transformative Knowing and Practice

We offer postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and Masters Programs in Integrative and Transformative Studies

We also encourage you to take individual units as a way of getting a flavour/taste/tone of our programs

We invite you to engage with the aesthetic, social, ecological and spiritual dimensions of our living with self, others and the earth. We are passionate about creating new and more sustainable and sustaining responses to the ecological, social and spiritual crises that we face in the current climate.

The oases graduate school provides a space where we can explore the kinds of transformations in personal, relational and social living that can make a difference to our lives and the life of earth.

We recognize and celebrate the interconnectedness of the personal, relational, social, spiritual and ecological aspects of our lives that are expressed in all we do and are.

Our approach to learning is experiential and participatory, acknowledging and valuing different ways of learning and knowing through head, heart and hand. We want to open a space where possibilities can emerge as we engage with deep, heartfelt questioning and mindful conversation with each other. We emphasise the relational dimensions of our learning together in a supportive environment.

Career Opportunities and our Participants

Participants come to oases graduate school working in all manner of contexts from State and Federal Government departments such as Human Services, to sustainability organizations, neighbourhood houses, information technology, consultancies, organizational development, community development and community and multicultural arts and so on. What participants share in common is their enthusiasm for connecting their learning with their working and other aspects of their lives. The project in the Masters program provides participants with the opportunity to engage in work based or community based projects drawing on diverse forms of inquiry.

" Don't ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive"

Howard Thurman cited in Social Ecology Edited by D. Wright, C. Camden-Pratt & S Hill.
